Help for artists
Get your music on Spotify, Apple Music, and more with SpaceMedia: set up your account, build a release, track delivery, and get paid.
This section is for artists distributing their own music through spacemedia.uk. If you run a label or a branded distribution platform for other artists, switch to For Businesses.
Your first release, in order
- Create your account at spacemedia.uk/register and verify your email.
- Set up your artist profile before you build anything. Stores match your music to an existing profile using the identifiers you enter here, so getting it wrong later means a split or duplicate profile. See Artist profiles.
- Prepare your files. A final master and a 3000 x 3000 square cover. See Audio and artwork.
- Create the release and enter metadata, credits, and rights. See Create a release.
- Choose stores and a release date. Give yourself lead time. See Distribution and dates.
- Clear every validation message, then submit. See Validation and review.
Working through the first release checklist is the fastest way to avoid a rejection.

How long things take
Release delivery is not instant, and most support questions come from expecting it to be. Stores need lead time before your release date, delivery to each store happens on its own schedule, and royalties are reported by stores months in arrears. Distribution and dates and Royalties and statements give the real timelines.
