Account access and security

Create a SpaceMedia artist account, sign in, reset a forgotten password, and keep your catalog and earnings secure.

Your SpaceMedia account controls your catalog and your earnings, so treat the email address on it as part of the account itself.

Create an account

Open Register, enter your own details, and complete the verification message sent to your email.

Use an address you personally control and expect to keep. Support verifies account ownership through it, so a work address you might lose, a shared band inbox, or an address belonging to a manager you may part ways with will all cause problems later.

Open Sign in. The page shows the methods currently enabled.

If you originally signed up with a third-party sign-in, use that same method every time. Signing in a different way with the same email address can land you on a second, empty account rather than your catalog.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Open Forgot password.
  2. Enter the email address on the account.
  3. Use only the newest reset message. Older links stop working as soon as a newer one is requested.
  4. Complete it in the same browser you started in where possible.
  5. If nothing arrives, check spam and filtered folders before requesting another. Each new request invalidates the last.

Never send a password, a reset link, a one-time code, a browser cookie, or an access token to anyone, including anyone claiming to be SpaceMedia support.

Keep the account secure

  • Use a unique password you do not reuse anywhere else. A password reused from a breached site is the most common way music accounts are taken over.
  • Secure the account email just as carefully. Anyone who controls that inbox can reset your password.
  • Review connected sign-in services from your account settings whenever the people around you change: a departing manager, a former bandmate, a previous distributor.
  • Sign out of shared and studio computers.
  • If an email address, password, or connected identity changes without your approval, contact support immediately rather than waiting to see what happens.

See Account settings for where these controls live, and Connections for linked services.

Common questions

I no longer have access to my account email. Contact support through the artist contact flow before changing anything else. Do not create a second account: a duplicate account cannot be merged with your catalog and complicates recovery.

Can two people share one artist account? Sharing one password is a bad idea for anything that pays out money. If several people need access, keep ownership with one account holder and control everything else through the account settings rather than passing credentials around.

Someone is asking me for my password to "verify" my release. That is a scam. No part of SpaceMedia's release process ever needs your password, and neither does any store.
