Connect or reconnect external accounts

What SpaceMedia connections do, how to fix one that did not complete, and how to disconnect safely.

A connection links your SpaceMedia account to an external service. Which connections are offered depends on the provider and on your account, so the list in your account is the accurate one.

A connection is an authorization, not a transfer of control. Connecting a service does not give SpaceMedia your password there, and it does not give that service your SpaceMedia password.

Connecting

  1. Open My Account > Connections.
  2. Start the connection and complete the provider's own sign-in.
  3. Approve the permissions the provider asks for.
  4. Return to SpaceMedia and confirm the connection shows as active.

The last step matters. A connection that was approved at the provider but never returned cleanly can look done at their end and not exist at ours.

If a connection does not complete

  • Make sure you approved the request rather than closing the window.
  • Check that you signed in to the intended account at the provider, not a personal one you also happen to be signed in to.
  • Disable pop-up blockers and privacy extensions for the attempt, since the flow relies on a redirect back.
  • Try once more from the Connections page rather than from a saved link.

If it still fails, record the provider name, the time, and the exact message, then contact support.

Disconnecting

Disconnect from the Connections page when you no longer want the link, when the connected account changes hands, or when someone who had access to it leaves. Disconnecting at SpaceMedia does not always revoke the authorization at the provider, so remove it there too if it is a security concern.
