SpaceMedia

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms

How SpaceMedia delivers to each music platform, what each one controls itself, and how to report a store-specific problem.

SpaceMedia delivers your release to the destinations you select. What happens after that, including profile tools, verification, and playlisting, belongs to each platform.

Spotify

Map to the correct public artist page before submission. Once the release is live, claim and manage the page through Spotify for Artists, which is where images, biography, and pitching live. SpaceMedia cannot verify an artist or place a track on an editorial playlist.

Apple Music

Same principle: map first, then manage through Apple Music for Artists. Apple applies its own metadata standards, so a release accepted elsewhere can still be returned by Apple for a title or credit format.

YouTube

Delivering to YouTube Music is not the same as uploading a video to your channel. Art Tracks are generated from the delivered audio and artwork.

Channel management, Official Artist Channel eligibility, Content ID, and claim handling are separate YouTube workflows. Do not assume Content ID enrollment unless the release flow explicitly offers it. See YouTube Artist Channel.

TikTok

Delivered music can appear in TikTok's music library, subject to TikTok's own processing and policy. A creator account or a video you posted is not an artist mapping, and the two are unrelated. Check the delivered sound and the release details before reporting a mismatch.

Everything else

Use the destination list shown on your own release. Do not rely on an older list, another distributor's list, or the fact that a store was available for a different release. Availability depends on content, territory, and current delivery support.

Reporting a platform problem

Provide all of this, or it cannot be traced:

  • Release title and UPC
  • Track title and ISRC
  • The destination and the country you checked
  • The expected artist page link, and the incorrect one if music landed in the wrong place
  • The public link to what you are seeing

Never share platform account passwords with anyone, including SpaceMedia.
