Create and manage Smartlinks
Build one SpaceMedia link that sends every listener to their own music service, and read its click analytics.
A Smartlink is one URL that shows a listener every service your release is on, so they pick their own. It solves the problem of a bio that can only hold one link while your audience is spread across services.
Creating one
- Open Smartlinks and create a link for the release.
- Check the destinations it found. Store links appear as delivery completes, so a link built the moment a release is submitted will be missing most of them.
- Set the link title and the visible destinations.
- Copy the public URL and use it everywhere.
Ordering and visibility
Control which destinations appear and in what order. Put the services your audience actually uses at the top rather than listing everything: a shorter, better-ordered list converts better than a complete one.
Hide a destination rather than deleting the link if a store has not published yet.
Before a release is live
A Smartlink created before delivery completes has nothing to point at yet. Build it early if you want the URL fixed for promotion, then re-check destinations as stores go live and update the link before you promote it heavily.
Analytics
Views and clicks show how the link performed, and which services people chose.
These are link metrics, not streaming metrics. A click means someone left for a store, not that they listened, and the numbers will never reconcile with a royalty statement. See Royalties and statements.
Common questions
A store is missing from my Smartlink. Confirm the release is actually live there first. See Delivery status.
Can I use one link for a whole campaign? Yes. The URL stays stable while you update the destinations behind it.
