Enterprise track library

Search track metadata and audio records across your SpaceMedia catalog, and find recurring metadata problems.

Catalog > Tracks is a track-level view across the whole organization. It requires view tracks.

Where the release library answers "what is this release doing", the track library answers questions that cut across releases.

What it is good for

  • Finding tracks missing an ISRC before they cause a reporting gap.
  • Locating every version of a recording across singles, albums, and compilations.
  • Spotting inconsistent contributor spellings that will fragment credit at stores.
  • Checking audio state across a batch after a migration.
  • Answering "which release is this ISRC on" when a store or a customer quotes one.

Reading a track record

A track shows its title and version, contributors, language, explicit status, identifiers, audio state, and the release it belongs to. The parent release governs delivery, so a track question usually becomes a release question. See Release library.

Practical checks

Search for blank ISRCs periodically. Search for a contributor name and look for near-duplicate spellings. Both are cheap to run and expensive to discover later, because reporting and credit are matched on exactly these values.

Fixes belong on the release, in the state that allows them.
